About Swapple

Swapple is a browser word puzzle game about turning a scrambled board into connected words. Each round gives you a limited number of swaps, and every move matters.

How Swapple works

The board is built from overlapping words. You swap letter tiles to complete those words before the move limit runs out. Solved words lock in as part of the board, so a good round is part word knowledge and part spatial puzzle solving.

Swapple currently offers normal and easy modes. Easy mode gives extra swaps at the start of each round and uses lower scoring so newer players can learn the puzzle rhythm without immediately running out of moves.

Score and leaderboard

Scores come from solved words, board completion, unused swaps, and fast solves. Continuing after a win preserves your running score across rounds. Losing or starting over clears the run.

The leaderboard is optional. If you submit a score, Swapple saves your display name, score, round, elapsed time, and public submission date so other players can compare runs.

Play in the browser

Swapple runs as a single-page web game and does not require an account. JavaScript is required to play because the board, scoring, audio, animations, and leaderboard interactions run in the browser.
